A list post…
I haven’t done one of these in awhile.
Things that annoy me…
• Dripping faucets. Water wasted all at once is fine.;) Just kidding, but it's not remotely as frustrating.
• The smell of Bactine.
• When I’m parked in a near empty parking lot, door open and one leg out of my car, reapplying my lipblam/gathering materials, when a car pulls up and waits for me to get out and shut my door so that he can have the spot dirrectly beside mine, instead of one of the other gazillion empty spaces. Why does he need that one?
• Elevators that move so slow you wouldn’t beable to tell if you were stuck. Hospitals are always classic for this.
• Having to change the vaccume cleaner bag. I always imagine the bugs (wheather vacuumed up dead or alive during the last few months) are waiting to crawl out alive and angry thinking “…and now it’s payback time, baby!” I don’t exactly know what they’d do, but imagine something that will ultimately kill.
• When people throw away cold pizza just because it’s been sitting at “the Danger Zone” temp for too long (I’ve almost always worked around other dietitians, so with that.. it happens sometimes. Although not recently)
• Along similar lines, when people refuse to eat and deprive their children of experiencing raw cookie dough in case they may possilly get salmonella.
• When I’m driving and another car insists on tailgating me in the slowest lane despite the other lanes being clear. Then finally switches to a new lane just to do the same thing to a new person in the new lane. You just want to say “if you wants to drive fast, then just go for it and stop bothering me and the other cars. Try to do the best you can with it instead of bothering us.”
• Clorisceptic spray.
Expressions I’ve been overusing lately:
• “Perfect!”
• “Done is done.”
• “No worries.”
Movies I’ve heard were absouletly exellent (old and new), should probably see, but keep choosing something else instead of:
• Slum Dog Millionaire
• The new Star Trek movie
• The Dark Knight
• The Notebook (Yeah, I know, “it’s a love story” and “it’ll make you cry at the end” but that’s all I hear w/ this one and it’s just not enough info)
• Shindler’s List
• Philadelphia
Things I’m looking forward to:
• 4th of July
• The Seattle Rock N’ Roll Marathon next weekend
• It's monsoon season here in AZ
Hope you have a great weekend!:)
ps Tomarrow is father’s day. I’m going to try to be with my mom most of the day tomarrow (since my dad passed away a few years ago I always try to be a support on days like this if possible). But my mom can be emotionally exhausting sometimes though. Let’s hope it goes okay.

yea, that is silly that some people worry about eating cookie dough and stuff.. I would eat the dough/ mix of any pre-prepared pastry or baked item and not really worry about it, and I bake a lot. It's just part of the fun :)
Slum Dog Millionaire is a great movie, really moving.
hope you have a good weekend!
What??? It rains in AZ???
I think I did a list journal once. They are fun to do. The one on elevators was funny!... this is why I take the stairs most of the time. If I get in an elevator, and i can't see the tag that says when it was last inspected... I take the stairs back down, lol.
as for the keeping children from tasting cookie dough... from a foodservice standpoint, I can understand why parents do it. I doubt that any of them think of it this way, but the foodservice reason is this: there are groups of people more susceptible to foodbourne illness, and children are in that group. If an adult whose immune system is fully developed (heck, if a teenager) were to take in raw cookie dough that had salmonella in it, they'd get sick, but be okay. If a child did the same thing and contracted salmonella, it could possibly kill them. Better not to take any risks with that sort of thing, I guess. My children will be allowed to sample raw cookie dough, however. I'll pray over them (and it) before it is consumed. If I get paranoid at some point, I'll just make them cookie dough ice cream.
the tailgaiting car amused me as well. it's so true!
on your movie list, I understand your sentiments concerning "the notebook". I feel like I SHOULD see it... but since I have a disdain for chick flicks, I'll refrain... unless the mood strikes me to see one (and specifically, that one).
Dripping faucets! So infuriating. Something that should be so silly and yet can drive you nuts. Sorry to hear about your father passing away. My Mom died almost two years ago and any type of holiday makes it harder to deal with.
I loved reading your post. Yeah the dripping faucets would drive me up a wall. That would definitely be a cause for insomnia.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting.
thank you.
yeah, i love my job. even if it's just being a manager at DQ until i get into the hospital, it's work. i love the people i work with, my boss, and most of the customers. he on the other hand, he's just looking for a way out. before he got transferred to that particular store- he loved working there. but, yeah i guess it does help that at least our relationship is good. and everything else is, too. so, he'll get out. it'll just take time. (:
Hey Karen!
Even though I really liked "The Notebook," I found it to be overrated. However, I didn't cry at all, but I am told I'm heartless. lol =P The movie is about an older man reading a story to an older lady. It is about a young man and a young woman who fall in love as teenagers, and for social class and other reasons they just didn't work out. When they become older their paths just so happen to cross again. I don't want to give you to many details, because I don't know if you get upset when someone spoils a movie for you.
I think I watched "Shindler's List" in high school, but I don't remember much about it. I think it has to do with the holocaust, and I just can't handle things like that. It makes me sick at my stomach to think of people being slaughter for nothing. "Philadelpha" is amazing. You should definately see it. I have not watched the other movies yet either.
I hope Father's Day went well for you, and that you are having a good day. =)

I can vouch for the first three movies - they are all great in their own way. The Notebook is kinda corny. I mean I cried the first time I saw it. The second time I watched it, I said,"Why the heck did I cry at this awful movie?"
Haha, I'd make the car wait if I had to do something. If a guy tailgates me, I'd tap on the brakes so the lights show or even slow down more. I find BMW or SUV drivers tailgate the most.
I'm looking forward to July 1st.
RYC: Thanks! I'm glad you understand!
I wish stalkers were a new issue in my life. Unfortunately, I had them even when I was single. I had them as a teenager too.
The worst part was I had no idea who they even were most of the time as a teenager. I'd get phone calls from them. It really creeped me out.
As I got older I didn't notice them either.
Once when I was working two jobs there was this guy who kept coming to both of them. I thought it was weird but I really didn't think anything of it until my sister said soemthing to me about it.
That's why I figure it is more likely a stranger than my ex...but who knows, really?
I think the idea is nice...until you actually really have one and then it is just plain creepy!
I really hope this works!
Good list! I do that too, I mean go pick out movies, that people don't tell
me to see, and wait to see the others. I guess, the interest isn't there.
Yeh, I like guys! lol! R. Hood
ryc: seriously... it would be hard for something to hold my attention as long as WoW to some guys. My boy is not too, too bad though, cause whenever I suggest we do something else, like maybe go to a movie some night, he will go with me. So I don't think I will lecture him about it after all.
My week is going pretty good, thanks.. hope yours is too :)
That is true, what you said about writing. Sometimes, just
conveying one's spirit and emotions, is good reason enough.

I loved your post. Hope your doing well :)
